Infosys Technologies Not Laying off 5000 Employees

Infosys Technologies has denied the media reports that the company could be laying off nearly 5000 people. The economic times had reported that Infosys could lay off nearly 5000 employees who were not performing good.

IT companies have been issuing warning of tough year 2013.

However, Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra recruited new employees during 2012.

Infosys has raised issues like lower demand and pressure on margins. But, the company has denied the layoffs.

Infosys is among the top rated companies and i am sure that they need more employees. they need not layoff people unless those are low performing people.

paying high salaries to people who are not performing is not in interest of shareholders or company.

We must not forget that this is private company and not some Indian government PSU which will keep on having people for not doing any work.

Yes i do agree that the cause behind this issue must be the less performance of the employee so that it could force to layoff them.
