I Have No Plans Of Getting Into Acting Full Time, Says Malaika Arora Khan
The poster girl of item songs — Malaika Arora Khan — feels her hubby-actor-producer Arbaaz Khan has a superior sense of music than she does.
That’s why, when it comes to taking conclusions regarding what item numbers to do, she depends upon his opinion.
“Deciding on one number is a very difficult task for me. But I have to give credit to Arbaaz for that. Every time I’m contemplating doing a song, I ask him. As for me, I pretty much go with the fact that I like performing; and I also consider who I am going to be working with,” says the actress, who after Munni badnaam hui in Dabangg (2010) shakes her leg with Anarkali disco chali in Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2.
Aside from the item number, Malaika Arora Khan discloses that she also has a small part in the multi-starrer.
“I’ve done a few scenes. They come at a very appropriate time in the film and take the plot forward. The name Anarkali has been mentioned through the film. Sometimes the characters speak about her, but no one knows who she is, until she finally arrives in the song.”
The former VJ, however, has no plans of getting into acting full time. “That was never on my agenda. Also, I think it’s a bit late in the day to decide whether I want to be an actor or not. I’m happy in my space as a producer,” added Malaika, who last co-produced brother-in-law Salman Khan’s Dabangg together with her hubby and Dhillin Mehta.
The Dabangg part 2 will mark Arbaaz’s directorial debut.
As the film producers get ready to take the movie on the floors by the second week of March with Sallu and Sonakshi Sinha, she added, “There’s a lot of pressure, but it also pushes us to make a bigger and better film.
