Maruti Scrip Surges 4% As February Sales Climb Up
Maruti Suzuki has sold 1,18,949 vehicles during the last month, a 6.5% growth over last year.
This has surprised the street positively as the company was likely to register a drop in sales of 9%.
The company’s scrip added 3.88% in noon trade on Thursday while BSE Sensex dropped more than 1%.
Exports saw a 11.8% increase at 11,296 units from 10,102 units last year.
Domestic sales rose 6% at 1,07,653 units as against 1,01,543 units in February 2011.
Maruti Suzuki sold 94,118 passenger vehicles during the last month, an increase growth of 7.1%.
Swixt DZire registered the maximum increase at 58.8%.
