ACC Ltd has declared that it has sold 2.34 million tonnes cement during the last month (March 2012).
Cement manufacturer posted a jump of 7.3% in its sales as compared to the same month of 2011.
ACC Ltd, in which Swiss major Holcim possesses majority equity stake, had sold 2.18 million tonnes cement during the same month of 2011.
The company fabricated 2.3 million tonnes cement during March 2012 as compared to 2.19 million tonnes in March 2011.
During the January-March period of this year, the company’s sales remained at 6.72 million tonnes as against 6.22 million tonnes during the same period of 2011.
The production during March 2012 was 6.70 million tonnes as compared to 6.20 million tonnes in the year-ago period.
At 11:03 a.m., the company’s shares were ruling 2.1% up at Rs 1,370 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
