Alstom T&D India, a division of French company Alstom, stated that it has pocketed a deal valued at Rs 41 crore from PowerGrid Corp for establishing transmission network at Daltonganj in the state of Jharkhand.
The scope of the order comprises the supply, erection and commissioning of a substation at Daltonganj, Jharkhand.
The equipment for the substation will be delivered from Alstom T&D the country's manufacturing plants situated at Padappai (Chennai), Pallavaram (Chennai), Hosur (Tamilnadu) and Noida, it said.
Rathin Basu, Managing Director, Alstom T&D India stated, "The Daltonganj substation is critical for the Eastern Grid in delivering the Eastern Regional Strengthening Scheme. We are proud to be a partner for Power Grid in building this High Voltage Substation."
Alstom T&D had recently announced that the firm promises to gain a major chunk of state-owned PowerGrid Corp's planned transmission network deals by 2017.
The company also stated that it anticipates getting biz from the administration's planned scheme of linking the Southern Grid with the National Grid. PTI
