Of course there is a generation gap. But I think what ever parents say 90% of it is because they know what is right or wrong.We better listen to them else at the end we normally think "I wish I had obeyed my parents"
Every youngster now a days face a problem of generation gap. He is always with a question in his/her mind why are we always said "no" for the things we wish to do. In my opinion,90% times parents are right they know the drawbacks of the things therefore they come up with the right decision. But the youngsters do not understand at that time.I have gone through this situation so I can very well understand.
Sometime the situation allows and sometimes not. It really depends on...........

misunderstanding is the root cause of most of the problems here I guess.
I am agreeing, actually the problem is not in the leaders we select infact the problem is inside us in all the people among the nation. We from inside don’t want to become developed, and organized. Everyone is considering other, the corrupted one rather himself. Everyone is doing as much corruption as he can do and try to blame others for hi/her crime. The thing is there is a lot of deficiency of Law education in our countries
