1.Sulfuric Acid Cleaning
You can have a jeweler clean an engagement ring with a sulfuric acid boil. This is reserved as a last option for an extremely dirty ring. It can damage the ring if it is not done properly. Sulfuric acid boils are done by a jeweler and typically run between $10 and $20 per cleaning.
2.Baking Soda Cleaning
Baking soda is a mild and non-abrasive cleaning agent that works well to clean an engagement ring. For rings that are only mildly dirty, take baking soda and mix with a small amount of water to form a paste. Rub the paste all around the stone and the engagement ring setting. This will clean an engagement ring without causing any damage to the metals or the stone. Dry and polish with a lint free cloth.
3.Use a mild detergent and warm water to clean your gold and platinum rings. First soak them for a few minutes, then use a soft brush--like an eyebrow brush or one purchased in a jewelry store--to clean off all of the dirt and grime. Next, use a soft cloth--like one you might use to clean eyeglasses--and rub to bring back the rings' shine and luster. You can also do the same thing by using a mixture of 1 part ammonia and 6 parts water. Only soak for 1 minute; then scrub with a brush and shine with a soft cloth. Only do this with plain rings or with rings set with diamonds.
4.To clean silver rings, even from black tarnish, place aluminum foil in a pot and place your rings on top. Fill the pot with a couple of inches of water so that the rings are completely covered. Add 2 tsp. of baking soda and 2 tsp. of salt and boil for a couple of minutes. Use a soft brush to clean, rinse with warm water and shine with a soft cloth. If your rings have stones set in them, do not use this method; rather, buy silver polish and follow the manufacturer's instructions to clean your silver (usually by soaking it in the mixture or scrubbing with a soft brush or cloth).
5.Clean copper rings by putting vinegar in any container, except a metal one, and soaking the rings for 15 minutes. When you are done, scrub your rings with a soft brush and rub with a cloth to shine. You can also use lemon or lime juice with a pinch of salt, or use a soft brush and rub ketchup all over it to get it clean. Do not use this method if you ring has a gemstone setting; instead, take it to a jeweler.

Hello friends,
Dirt, tiny debris, skin cells and bacteria accumulate in rings over time when they are not properly cleaned. The process of cleaning a ring is very easy and simple. Renowned jeweler Tiffany & Co. recommends hand washing sterling silver, gold and platinum jewelry pieces, like those found on ring bands, with warm water and mild soap. The bands can also be left inside a small bowl with a warm water and mild soap solution for a few minutes to enable a more intense cleansing. A soft toothbrush can also be used to gently scour the little nooks and crannies of your band.
Thanks

I am going to apply this method on my silver ring because it seems to be dull from a month ago.
Hope it works for me.
Is there any other alternative method to clean silver rings with stones?

I have always used plain Colgate toothpaste for my silver jewelry. Mix it up in a small container with enough water for it to be a thin paste, almost a gravy-like mixture. Let the ring soak in it overnight. Then scrub it with an old toothbrush. It should look brand new again. It really works, and it will NOT harm your jewelry.

You can also try these tips
1. Put little bit toothpaste on the toothbrush and rub it on the ring slowly. After that, clean the ring with the piece of the cloth.
2.Prepare a mixture of the ½-cup white vinegar and two spoons baking soda. Apply this mixture on your pure silver bracelets as well as rings. You will definitely get better results.
Thanks
Nice Tips. i usually use only water and a soap
